Hours: Varied – full time and part-time opportunities available, please see details below.

Centre 404 is a friendly, growing charity with an excellent reputation for providing high quality support and services to people with learning disabilities and their families in North London.

We are looking for reliable and committed Waking Night Support Workers to support adults with learning disabilities living in supported accommodation. You will be supporting people with a diverse range of needs and all support will be based on core principles of enabling service users to be valued as individuals and do as much as possible for themselves, maximising their independence and control over their lives.

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will provide support to service users overnight, ensuring their safety, health and wellbeing. You will assist with personal care, health and safety checks, essential cleaning tasks and lead on dealing with emergencies.

We are looking for people with a positive, can-do attitude; good communication skills are essential, as well as a willingness to learn and develop new skills, and the ability to work positively as part of a team. Experience of complex health care needs, autism and positive behaviour support would be desirable, but are not essential requirements.

Current opportunities include:

  • 1 part time female support worker, 30 hours per week
  • 2 full time support workers, 37 hours per week

Please note that Waking Night workers will need to be available to attend training, induction and meetings during the day, as well as working occasional day shifts, particularly during the first month of the induction period.

Centre 404 is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk and we are looking to recruit people who share these values. All our offers of employment are therefore subject to an enhanced DBS check, proof of eligibility to work in the UK and two satisfactory references.
