Runs and Challenge Events

Asics London 10K 2021

Centre 404 will have a team of five people representing the charity at the Asics London 10K 2021 taking place on Sunday 25th July through a fast and flat route by Big Ben and the London Eye.

We still have two places available – these will be assigned on a firstcomefirstserve basis!

To get a spot is free for all runners through Centre 404 that has purchased its places, but it comes with a commitment to fundraise £250 (or more, of course!) for Centre 404’s volunteers projects.

Sille, our Fundraising Coordinator, will support you with setting up the fundraising pages and share tips to get the campaigns going!

If you would like to sign up or want to hear more, please email SilleA@Centre404.org.uk or call 0208 075 4546.

Hackney Half 2021

We will also have a team of five people representing Centre 404 at the Hackney Half Marathon on Sunday 26th September!

All the places are now filled but if you would like to join us on the day to cheer our runners on, get in touch with Sille.

The steps taken to generate funding in support of Centre 404

Volunteering Service at Centre 404 supports approximately 100 local people, including helping to run clubs and activities, peer befriending, reception and administration duties, community fundraising and gardening.

38% of our volunteers have learning disabilities themselves and 20% are carers or ex carers. We recently launched a young people’s volunteering scheme.

Volunteers have played a vital role during the Covid-19. Since the coronavirus outbreak, we started a Peer to Peer Telephone Befriending Service to support some of our isolated family carers. We are also developing a new support scheme where isolated people with learning disabilities can accompany volunteers on walks with their dogs.

We have so many inspiring and highly valued volunteers and Centre 404 is absolutely committed to keep offering various meaningful volunteering opportunities.

So we are fundraising for Centre 404’s volunteers projects!
