Deputy Manager – Mildmay Avenue & Islington Outreach
Salary: £26 747.76 (full-time)
Hours: 37 hours per week (23 hours as a deputy manager and 14 hours as a support worker), which can be a 23-hour contract based on 3 days as a Deputy Manager (including days, evenings, occasional waking nights and some weekends).
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our management team.
You will be a Deputy Manager for a supported living project for 10 adults, as well as a growing outreach service for more than 40 service users. Both services provide support to adults with mild-moderate learning disabilities and a range of other needs, including mental health, Autism and complex health needs.
Working alongside the Project Manager, and a team of support staff, you will provide excellent person-centred care to ensure the service user wellbeing, enabling independent and fulfilled living. This will involve supporting service users to take part in a range of meaningful and fun group activities, develop friendships and access services, as well as support with various aspects of day-to-day living. This will include working in partnership with family and advocates, where possible and appropriate.
You will contribute to the development of the team and be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of Support Workers. You will also support the team with the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and support to service users.
The right candidate will have at least one year experience of working in a supervisory role, leading and coaching a team supporting people with learning disabilities or another vulnerable client group.
