Salary: £23,000 per annum

Service: Independent Living and Specialist Services

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

Contract: Fixed term maternity cover, initial period of 6 months (then subject to review)

Are you an excellent communicator with the ability to engage and motivate a range of stakeholders? Do you have experience of working collaboratively with families and advocates to achieve the best outcomes for vulnerable groups? If so, we may have just the role for you!

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Family Involvement and Quality Assurance Officer within our Independent Living & Specialist Services, who will act as a supportive link for families and advocates of service users and the professionals working with them.

Centre 404 sees families as experts and our ethos is that they are not defined as only relatives, but as sources of valuable knowledge and insights to help inform our service provisions. This exciting role involves working with families and Circles of Support across our services to ensure that their voices are heard and that we maintain quality standards that reflect our commitment to the people we support. In addition to this, the role also covers assisting with quality assurance work and the development of policies for the service.

This is an excellent opportunity to be able to instil a culture of continuous improvement across the service, through meaningful dialogue with service users and their families.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of what makes quality service provisions for people with learning disabilities, and the ability to confidently facilitate forums and groups sessions. They will also have experience of engaging positively with families and advocates, and be able to work independently through a range of quality assurance tasks, including assisting in the research, updating and drafting of policies. A keen eye for detail is also key!

How to apply: Please submit a CV along with a cover statement (either within the email itself or as an attachment) addressing the following: “Tell us more about why you are interested in this role and what you would bring to this post in terms of your knowledge, skills and experience”. Please ensure you refer to the person specification in your statement and explain how you meet the criteria. You can find the job description/person specification by clicking here. We would also appreciate if you could take the time to complete an applicant diversity survey.
