Salary: £23,000 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
Contract: Maternity cover, initial contract for 6 months, with anticipated start date at end of August 2019
Centre 404 is a friendly, local and thriving charity with an excellent reputation for providing high quality support and services to people with learning disabilities and their families in North London.
Centre 404 views families as experts and the post will have a wide ongoing remit to work with families and Circles of Support across our support services and assist with quality assurance work and policy writing. Another aspect of this role is to help cover service delivery gaps when required and provide support to service users using a person centred approach and ensuring choice and control.
We are looking for people who will instil a culture of continuous improvement, through dialogue with service users and their families.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual to continue the current work plan for the post. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with the ability to engage and motivate people at all levels. They will have an understanding of what makes a quality service for adults with a learning disability and the concerns that families, advocates and carers have.
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to families / advocates of adults with learning disabilities.
- Excellent organisational abilities and ability to manage forums and develop groups
- An eye for detail with the ability to work independently through quality assurance tasks and assist in the research, updating and writing of policies.
