Salary: £23,000 per annum (pro rata)

Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

Contract: Maternity cover, initial contract for 6 months

Centre 404 views families as experts and in this exciting post, you will work with families and Circles of Support across our support services to ensure their voices are heard, and assist with quality assurance work and policy writing. Another aspect of this role is to help cover service delivery gaps when required and provide support to service users using a person centred approach and ensuring choice and control.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is also a confident communicator with the ability to engage and motivate people at all levels. You will have an understanding of what makes a quality service for adults with a learning disability and the concerns that families, advocates and carers have. You will also be passionate about instilling a culture of continuous improvement, through dialogue with service users and their families, and driven to continue the current work plan for the post.

Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to families / advocates of adults with learning disabilities.
  • Ability to speak confidently in public and act as a facilitator
  • Excellent organisational abilities and ability to manage forums and develop groups
  • Experience of organising and attending events, including planning activities, achieving outcomes, keeping accurate records and assessing impact
  • An eye for detail with the ability to work independently through quality assurance tasks and assist in the research, updating and writing of policies.
