Centre 404 is a prominent and successful charity that offers friendly, reliable and person centred support to people with learning disabilities, autism and their families. We currently operate across 6 London Boroughs.
As a Support Worker in our Camden Floating Support Service you’ll get to see the direct impact you are making by offering people with learning disabilities the support they need to enjoy the same rights, freedom, responsibilities, choices and quality of life as others within the wider community. We operate across the London Borough of Camden, focussing on the northern end including Kentish Town, Swiss Cottage and Kilburn and provide support to people with learning disabilities in their own homes, out in the community and here at our headquarters in Camden Road.
As part of a strong and dedicated team, you will provide support to service users to ensure their safety, health and wellbeing. Duties will include support with day-to-day aspects such as shopping, meals, personal care, and attending appointments, as well as with leisure, social and physical activities, hobbies and personal interests with an emphasis on helping develop skills, confidence and relationships. A usual day (if there is such a thing) would see you supporting one service user from 9am to 11.30 am, maybe helping with dressing, shopping etc, another service user from 12pm till 4pm during which time you may join other Centre 404 members on a trip to a museum or a park and at the end of the day from 4.30pm till 6pm you may help a third service user to travel to Centre 404 to attend an activity such as our Friday night disco!
