Dear Family Carer

We do hope you are still ok as we endure the current wave of Covid and the latest lockdown.

The next meeting of the Family Carers Reference Group will be on Wednesday, January 27th, starting at the later time of 1.00. It will be a good opportunity for us to share what’s been going on in our lives since we last met, and to feed back information from meetings we’ve attended.

Covid, Vaccinations and the Way Forward
We’re very pleased that we will be joined again by Stephen Day, Head of Islington learning Disability Service, and Ellie Chesterman, Senior Commissioner. Stephen and Ellie will update us on service delivery during the current lockdown, but also on plans to roll out the vaccines. There are a number of questions we may wish to raise with them about this.

Islington Council Carers Survey
We will also be joined by Lisa Koduthore and Ruby Pearce from Adult Social Care. The Council is gathering information from Carers on their views of Council support for carers, and what gaps in provision need to be addressed.
