Recognised by the NHS as the approved method for responding to behaviours of concern. It represents an evidence-based approach to care that is supported by research and proven to be more effective than interventions that are not based on a functional behavioural assessment.
Here at Centre 404, we can carry out BILD-certified Functional Assessments for your teams and to support carers of adults with learning disabilities and autism to enhance their approach to difficult situations.
The assessment is run as half-day consultations with those involved in supporting the person. The initial goal will be to define the behaviour that is causing concern, then drawing up a plan for intervention techniques, before meeting again at a later date to review progress. Thereafter, additional half-day can be provided to monitor, measure and adapt the strategies and techniques being used to support and empower the individual.
