  • I love volunteering at the Centre 404 garden

    Savaas is really active in his local community and is involved in various clubs and activities. Savaas joined our weekly Thursday garden project in August 2010 and has been a dedicated volunteer ever since. Savaas is non-verbal and has expressed what volunteering means to him through Makaton and his support worker.

  • How I made new friends at the social club

    Through the Saturday social I have been able to open up my life to new friends, and I have learned so much. I felt shy when I started, but I’m not shy anymore! I feel I have lots of friends now. The team have encouraged me to enjoy myself and helped me gain confidence in talking to people and taking part in things. They helped me apply for a cinema card and now I go with my friends whenever I like.
