During February we had another site visit that was attended by some of our staff, who again were happy with the progress as you can see in their lovely smiling faces below.

Our CEO also attended a site meeting in February to discuss the progress of the build with our Project Manager Zana (second picture below) and how we can prepare for any delays. Linda was also able to see our main training space on level 4 of the building, which was being worked on the last time we visited.

After these meetings and visits, we are delighted to reveal some before and after photos as well as photos showing the significant progression of the building project.

The new lift was installed, which has now been extended to also allow access our level 4 where the new training room is.

We’re really pleased to report that adjacent to the new training room will be two new toilets, and a coffee and tea point with access to filtered water. This area also has lovely views to the garden with plenty of natural light, so all you cappuccino and fancy coffee drinkers should be happy with this! As well as 404 using this space for our own activities we are also planning on having this as a facility for the local community to use and/or hire, so it’s really important for us to have good and accessible facilities.

The cladding was also finished to our main community hall.

Due to the reconstruction of the building, we are now working on how the different levels will be labelled on the lift and on signage around the building.

As we mentioned in the January blog we were planning for some delays, and it is now looking like the building will be completed end of April/ early May. We look forward to putting up the latest photos over the coming weeks as the building really starts to take shape.

Thank you for your patience and we look forward to getting back to our lovely Centre 404 soon!
