Centre 404 is a prominent and successful charity that offers friendly, reliable and person-centred support to people with learning disabilities, autism and their families. We currently operate across 6 London Boroughs.

This role will be part of our “Finding and Matching” service; a close team which provides support to approximately 60 people with learning disabilities living in their own homes in North London.  Your contribution and ideas will be highly valued and you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to a growing service.  As a Support Worker, you will provide support to service users to ensure their safety, health and wellbeing. Duties will include support with day-to-day aspects such as shopping, meals, personal care, and attending appointments, as well as with leisure, social and physical activities, hobbies and personal interests with an emphasis on helping develop skills, confidence and relationships.

-Ability to work across the London Boroughs of Islington, Camden and Haringey

-To support a new, male, referral, on a 2:1 basis, using positive behaviour approaches.

-To support a male service user, living in Islington, on a one-to-one basis, using positive behaviour support principles.

-Ability to implement safeguarding procedure, including, following up, on concerns, recording and reporting.

-Ability to communicate well, with colleagues, service users, carers, and professionals.

-To support service users to meet their personal goals, in accordance with their support plans.

-Good problem-solving skills and ability to use ones initiative, within a lone-working setting.
