Centre 404 is a friendly, local and thriving charity with an excellent reputation for providing high quality support and services to people with learning disabilities and their families in North London. Want to make a meaningful and lasting difference? Why not start today and join Centre 404 as a Support Worker.
We have exciting opportunities for both experienced female support workers and those new to the sector to join us at our largest supported living service based in Islington. This project supports 19 adults with learning disability, physical, sensory and communication support needs, who require 24/7 support.
As a Support Worker, you will provide support to service users to ensure their safety, health and wellbeing. Duties will include support with day-to-day aspects such as shopping, meals, personal care, and attending appointments, as well as with leisure, social and physical activities, hobbies and personal interests with an emphasis on helping develop skills, confidence and relationships.
The ethos behind all our services is to offer support that is empowering, person-centred, promoting choice and integration, as well as reducing isolation. We are always looking for friendly, energetic people to join us in achieving this valuable purpose and to promote and maintain the health and wellbeing of those we support. Some experience of working with people with “challenging behaviour” and utilising a positive behaviour support approach would be useful in this role.
How to apply: Please submit a CV to recruitment@centre404.org.uk ideally along with a cover statement (either within the email itself or as an attachment) addressing the following:
“Tell us more about why you are interested in this role and what you would bring to this post”.
Centre 404 is dedicated to staff development and supervision and we will provide a detailed induction and on-going training and support. We are also committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk and we are looking to recruit people who share these values. All offers of employment are subject to an enhanced DBS check, proof of eligibility to work in the UK and two satisfactory references.
We are dedicated to providing a meaningful and rewarding work environment, as well as offering a range of perks and benefits for our staff to enjoy.
Centre 404 is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
