Autistic girls and women face unique challenges throughout their lifespans, with many receiving insufficient support. Dr Rachel Moseley (pronouns she/her), a principal academic in psychology at Bournemouth University, will discuss some of these challenges around under-recognition of autistic girls and people assigned female at birth, camouflaging and burn-out, mental ill-health and hormonal changes. This talk will approach these issues from a scientific perspective and the lived experience of a late-diagnosed autistic adult.
